TikTok To Show Who Viewed Your Posts

TikTok is developing a new feature that will allow users to view who has viewed their posts.

According to TikTok’s wild test, the company is adding viewer history to its posts.

Soon, you’ll be able to see who viewed your TikTok video. This is another data set that can help you identify your most engaged followers.

Your followers will also see your posts when you view them.

You can opt out of post-view history if you don’t like that. However, you won’t have access to view the history of any of your content.

TikTok’s view history of posts is not like Instagram or Facebook stories. It’s disabled by default for all users.

It differs from other platforms’ viewer histories in different ways, which we will discuss in the next section. Here is how TikTok’s viewer record works.

TikTok Post View history – How it Works

TikTok’s history of post views is restricted to followers only. This screenshot was shared by Matt Navarra, a social media pundit.

New! TikTok Post View Historical

Now you can see which of your followers saw your TikToks.

It states that people you follow can view posts you see, and you will be able to see posts your followers have seen.

Theoretically, if you want to see someone’s content stealthily, could you unfollow them?

This is a great way to restrict the view of history. It filters data down to mutuals, and I assume it is to accommodate large followings.

TikTok’s view history will also be limited in time and will only be available for seven calendar days starting from the publication date.

You’ll be allowed to keep the viewer history for up to one week if you consider it valuable.

TikTok Confirms the Test of Feature

A TikTok spokesperson confirmed that the feature was natural and is available to selected users in a report by TechCrunch.

It is not known when it will become more widely available. It’s impossible to predict when test features will be available.

TikTok can decide to delete viewer history, or at the very least to rework it, if feedback is negative from the test group.

It’s a matter of awareness at this stage, and TikTok will add it in a future update.
